The new website highlights Capstone On-Campus’ focus on serving non-profit owners of student housing communities with its management and consulting services. Because of this unique focus, the majority of the housing communities it manages are located directly on a college or university campus. “We wanted our website to more clearly communicate how our focus on non-profit owners, which in effect means on-campus housing, makes a difference in the value our non-profit clients receive,” says Alton Irwin, Chief Marketing Officer. “This focus changes our approach to every aspect of managing a student housing community: from the staff we hire, to how we involve university stakeholders and incorporate their objectives, how we structure the management agreement, down to how we make daily operational decisions. We call it the power of focus.”

The new website follows Capstone On-Campus’ launch in late April of a blog entitled “Student Housing Matters.” Student Housing Matters was introduced to provide an open forum for those involved with oncampus housing to share new ideas and encourage their colleagues. “Because the majority of the professionals at Capstone On-Campus have residential life backgrounds, or have worked in other areas of higher education, they have experienced how a well-planned on-campus housing program can help a university achieve other objectives, most notably those for enrollment,” Irwin says. He adds, “We felt the Student Housing Matters blog could serve as a platform to encourage others to see their on-campus housing from the same perspective. This is one of the things our company believes strongly in and emphasizes in our Fresh Eyes Consulting, which is a service designed to help colleges and universities position their on-campus housing programs to enhance recruitment and retention.”
